Gerry Gentry has been a photographer for over 30 years, he has a diverse portfolio including landscapes, portrait and wildlife. Gerry is a user of Canon cameras. He uses different processing packages and different techniques in his photography. Gerry with a friend formed The Camera workshop Group in Manchester as an alternative to standard Camera Clubs. Their aim was to teach photography at beginners and intermediate level; giving photographers' the skills to take good photographs, and learning post processing techniques. This kind of club was a bridge from college to joining the camera clubs. Since then many of the photographers have been successful in UK and International competitions, as well as receiving accreditations. Since Covid and over the past few years Gerry embraced the AI technology. With with his background of art and graphics he has been able to manipulate and produce many different styles of photographs in AI. The aim of the lecture is to demonstrate the benefits of using AI in art and photography, and the creativity which AI has introduced into today’s society. This will be at the AEI only, there will be no zoom or recording. I hope you can join us. Contact: Yvonne (Member)
