Talk in person at the Arnside Educational Institute. The long awaited episode in our Nature Photography series. The talk has some exciting images from Yellowstone in winter, Alaska, Minnesota, Africa and many nature images from the UK including Scottish Islands Shetland and Mull.

The Print Comp is Open - as in no constraints on subject matter or colour / mono prints
You can enter up to 6 prints, they can be A3 or A4 size and can be mounted or not
Please label the back of each print with: Full name, Title of print, and Division (Intermediate or Advanced)

3. Club organisation - running meetings, competitions, membership, promotion
Please Note this meeting will be in the Kent Room (adjacent to the Westmorland Room) and we will use one of the standalone screens for projection

Talk on Zoom. I am a Photographic obsessive. I take pictures every day, I can't help it. I have to. I would get withdrawal symptoms if I didn't. My camera comes with me everywhere, even on a shopping trip to Tesco. I love the creative process so come and join me on my journey.

The Club will be running an exhibition of our members prints to coincide with the meeting of the Arnside Archive. We'll also have a slideshow running showing images from one of last seasons competitions.
Everyone is welcome to come and browse around the show which will be in the Westmorland Room, entrance is free.

Thu 29 Aug 2024 - Photo Walk in Kendal
A walk to look at Kendal's buildings, based on Nikolaus Pevsner's Guide "Buildings of England". Lead by Andrew Skinner. Meet at Booths car park upper level (don't stand in the traffic) ready to walk at 7pm. The upper car park is never locked. Should take about two hours. Bring a camera with a wide lens or a phone.

Thu 8 Aug 2024 - Leighton Moss Walk
Explore wildlife photography and evening light on landscapes. We start outside the main entrance walking towards the Grizedale Hide for a chance to view Red Deer, followed by a visit to Causeway and Lower hides. We aim to end at 8:30pm.

Sat 13 Jul 2024 - Holme Howler - Mini Exhibition and Photo Comp
We'll be having a stand at the Holme Howler event which is an Obstacle Race for adults with a Mini Howler for the kids. The Photo Comp will be for youngsters to take snaps on the day from the Howler events and winners will be rewarded in chocolates / sweeties or suchlike.
Mon 12 Feb 2024 - Battle with Arnside and Silverdale, Garstang, Morecambe, and Lancaster
Following last years success in the 3-way battle with Garstang and Morecambe this year, the organisers from Garstang have added Lancaster. Lucky for our judge Christine Widdall! The Arts Centre in Garstang has rather more space than our club room so the Battle will take place there. The judging will be on Zoom.
